IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PERSONS AND ENTITIES SUBMITTING INFORMATION FOR POSTING ON THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TEACH IN NEBRASKA SITE. 

  1. This website is provided as a service by the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) for the state’s approved or accredited K-12 schools seeking persons to fill teaching, counseling and administrative positions which require NDE certification, for other educational institutions seeking to employ persons with teaching or administrative certificates in professional capacities, and for persons seeking employment in such positions. It is intended to provide a convenient means for such schools, institutions, and such persons to view information about available jobs and potential candidates for employment. It is a limited forum for that purpose. Information posted on this site consists of information submitted by potential employers concerning positions available. This site is not a forum for expression of matters outside of the position's descriptions and requirements, and position applicant's qualifications and information. NDE reserves the right to refuse to post or require the deletion of any information, statement, or language that it deems not consistent with the above purposes of this site. NDE, the State Board of Education, the Commissioner of Education, and their officials, employees, agents and assignees make no representations or guarantees as to the accuracy of the information submitted and posted on this site. The accuracy of the information submitted to the site and to schools and institutions by individuals as a result, is the sole responsibility of the persons and entities providing such information. It is the sole responsibility of individual job seekers and schools or other institutions which submit such information to a) assure the accuracy and truthfulness of the information submitted to NDE for posting on this site; b) check the accuracy of the information posted on this site concerning the job position; c) promptly correct any inaccuracies or errors in the information once it is posted; and d) verify with one another the accuracy of the information at such time any school or institution and individual should communicate with one another concerning potential employment. Holders of Nebraska teaching, special services counseling or administrative certificates who submit false information are subject to discipline under 92 NAC 27. NDE is not the employer, nor is it an agent of the employer or employee, concerning the employment opportunities posted on this site. NDE is in no way responsible for the hiring decisions and practices of the schools or institutions using this site. Employment of persons for the education positions posted on this site is strictly a matter between the applicants and the schools or institutions. While NDE has, pursuant to state law and regulations, approved or accredited for operation the K-12 private schools who may post employment opportunities on this site, NDE in no way endorses any religious messages or missions of such schools or other institutions. Persons and schools or institutions choosing to utilize this site agree to all the foregoing terms. 

  2. ”Educational institutions”, as used in this notice, shall mean a Nebraska entity or organization whose primary purpose is the education of persons in academic and/or vocational pursuits. Such institutions include approved and accredited K-12 schools, approved or accredited public and private postsecondary schools and institutions located in Nebraska, and Educational Service Units (ESUs). Whether or not an entity is or is not an “educational institution” shall be a determination of NDE. 

  3. By submitting information to this website, such information becomes a public record under state statute (84-712 through 84-712.09 R.R.S.) as to NDE. Information about which individuals have applied for which positions posted on this site is not tracked or maintained by NDE. The individual public schools, school districts, private schools or other institutions to whom such individuals have sent their applications are the custodians of such records and public access to such information regarding public schools and public entities is governed by the state public records statutes at 84-712.05(14) R.R.S. 

  4. It is the responsibility of persons using this site to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies that may apply. If a school’s or other employer’s computer equipment is used to utilize this site, this includes any such employers policies relating to use of its computers, equipment and resources. If a public school or other governmental entities equipment is used, this also includes state laws governing public employees and public officials use of public resources for personal financial gain (49-14, 101 R.R.S.). In addition to other penalties which may apply, misuse of school owned computer resources and/or violation of school policies regarding use of such resources by its employees and officials may subject a holder of a Nebraska teaching, administrative or special services counseling certificate to discipline under 92 NAC 27.
