Maintain a complex data tracking system to ensure assessments and metric goals are being met for NSF funding and reporting requirements. Supervise temporary student workers and others hired by NE EPSCoR to support outreach activities. Monitor possible sources of additional program funding. 20 % Team member of the Nebraska EPSCoR Provide backup in various EPSCoR related activities such as writing grant proposals, annual reports and other communication as needed; planning and organizing conferences and workshops; and answering phone lines and directing calls as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred, plus 2 years of experience developing and implementing education outreach or similar programs is required. This individual will have demonstrated experience in managing instructional programming and will have been required to work with little supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft programs is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

The Outreach Coordinator leads the education, diversity and workforce development mission of Nebraska EPSCoR by managing a portfolio of new and existing programs designed to promote science literacy, engage students in STEM fields, promote STEM careers and encourage diversity in the STEM fields. 80 % Manage statewide programs which integrate research and education to address science education and outreach goals: Coordinate and facilitate planning, development, implementation, and assessment activities related to the education, workforce development, and diversity programs within Nebraska EPSCoR. Programs encompass STEM activities for P-16 students. Manage a budget, allocate funds, and negotiate contracts and agreements as required in support of NE EPSCoR outreach programs. Work with other organizations to arrange necessary support for programs. Promote, manage and evaluate participant enrollment in programs. Travel to state and national meetings to present information about programs and assessment results. Monitor and assess effectiveness of partner programs. Maintain a complex data tracking system to ensure assessments and metric goals are being met for NSF funding and reporting requirements. Supervise temporary student workers and others hired by NE EPSCoR to support outreach activities. Monitor possible sources of additional program funding. 20 % Team member of the Nebraska EPSCoR Provide backup in various EPSCoR related activities such as writing grant proposals, annual reports and other communication as needed; planning and organizing conferences and workshops; and answering phone lines and directing calls as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred, plus 2 years of experience developing and implementing education outreach or similar programs is required. This individual will have demonstrated experience in managing instructional programming and will have been required to work with little supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft programs is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
